At PLASMA, we honor the greats. And one of the greats was undoubtedly the incredible Katherine Johnson, NASA mathematician whose work made it possible for humans to land a man on the Moon.
However, her and many other talented women and black scientists of her time faced terrible disadvantages & discrimination based on their race and gender. Today, we see that even though time has passed, not much has changed in terms of racial & gender equity. Moreover, we are seeing a giant wave of science denial that goes all the way to the top! At PLASMA, we believe in science AND we believe that great science is achieved only when EVERYONE is treated with dignity & respect.
