Fun is the future! Why? Fun is a key ingredient that enhances education, advances science, and strengthens cultural connections. The ETH Game Technology Center uses advanced game technologies like Augmented Reality to add layers of playful interaction on top of important human activities. In this setting, games become powerful tools to advance ETH Zurich’s mission in research, education, and outreach. In this event, we will present the design of the ETH Game Technology Center, our capstone course on game programming, and highlight projects that use Augmented Reality to infuse a magical interaction into traditional activities. The presentation will be followed by live demos where you can play student games, interact with paintings in an art exhibition, and explore a toy catalog that comes to life with Augmented Reality.
