As part of Berlin Science Week, STATE presents light works by artists
Charlotte Dachroth and Ole Jeschonnek, which were created during the residence program of the Fraunhofer Network “Wissenschaft, Kunst und Design”.
On 1 November 2019 STATE will open the exhibition “Lichtfelder” (Fields of Light) as part of Berlin Science Week, an artistic-scientific reflection on the subject of light through the works of artists Charlotte Dachroth and Ole Jeschonnek.
The exhibition focuses on works produced by Dachroth and Jeschonnek as part of the Fraunhofer residence program “Artist in Lab – Duality.” For the development of the light sculptures, the two artists worked closely with scientists from the Fraunhofer Institute for Applied Optics and Precision Engineering IOF in Jena. In addition to the works of Dachroth and Jeschonnek, the London-born Berlin-based musician, producer and Dj Perera Elsewhere will perform live at STATE Studio.
The exhibition, held at the science and art space STATE Studio is part of a multi-part series of events that celebrate the 70th anniversary of the Fraunhofer-Gesellschaft.
Selected artistic works, that reflect current research topics of the Fraunhofer-Gesellschaft will be presented until February 2020 and invite the public to engage with socially relevant developments in science and research.
